Description	The survey was conducted by the Doxa Institute (Milan). The data was collected through personal interviews of a stratified proportional sample of the population of Italy aged 16 or over. Topics include: satisfaction with the government performance in past 12 months, and reasons; most important problems facing Italian government; opinion of Colombo as Prime Minister; 1968 general and other local election vote recall; vote prediction; party preference; forthcoming (1972) election outcome prediction; forthcoming election outcome prediction as compared to 1968 general election outcome; reason for non-voting. Demographic data: geographic region, size of municipality, province, sex, date of marriage of head of household, relation to head of household, person in charge of shopping, education, occupation of respondent, occupation of head of household, marital status, age, no. persons in household, no. adults (21 or over) in household, age groups in household, socio-economic status, total monthly household income. The codebook for this dataset is available through the UBC Library catalogue, with call number JN5651 .D692 1972.
